BigBear.ai has appointed former CEO of Spireon, Carla Fitzgerald, as Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for all product marketing as well as corporate communications and marketing.
Columbia, Maryland, said Monday that Fitzgerald will be tasked with developing strategies for marketing efforts to drive revenue and growth in both the public sector and commercial markets for BigBear.ai’s artificial intelligence, cloud-based data data analytics and electronic engineering technologies.
You will report to Reggie Brothers, CEO of BigBear.ai.
“Carla has deep experience leading revenue-raising initiatives for companies across a broad range of technologies and industries, including predictive analytics, ERP management, and fleet management,” said Brothers, 2022 Wash100 award winner.
Fitzgerald has been in the B2B-focused technology marketing business for over 25 years. At Spireon, Fitzgerald was the chief executive officer and won the “Female Executive of the Year” award from the American Business Association while in this position. Prior to that, she held senior positions at Smith Micro Software and Evolution Food Company, among others
In her new role, Fitzgerald is expected to drive brand awareness of BigBear.ai’s SaaS AI-powered technology. It will identify new business opportunities and create an environment that is receptive to customer voices.
Fitzgerald shared that she was excited to join BigBear.ai during the company’s expansion period, after it went public. She also noted that “the demand for artificial intelligence and predictive analytics is increasing every day.”
In December, BigBear.ai completed its merger with GigCapital4 and became a publicly traded company with an initial enterprise value of approximately $1.38 billion.
