Austin Luttrell, who has a background in both Standard Bread and Asil Industries, joins the team at David Reid’s Preferred Equine Marketing. Luttrell worked as assistant coaches Christophe Clement and Kieran McLaughlin, and was a manager at Denali Stud and Donamire Farm. He also worked for Magic Millions in Australia as a hangover advisor. Luttrell owned, raised and trained Standard Bread, winning his first race as owner/coach at his hometown track, Red Mile and formed and managed Cats by 90, LLC Partnership.
“I am very excited about this opportunity to work with Preferred Equine,” Luttrell said. “Preferred is a mainstay in the horse racing industry, and has a growing presence in the Thoroughbred trade. They operate to the highest standards of quality and honesty.”
“I have great respect for David Reed and the amount of hard work he puts into getting every horse through the auction arena. I believe my dual background will allow me to build on our great reputation while introducing new faces and ideas in both the Standardbred and Thoroughbred industries.”
Reed added, “I am excited about Austin’s agreement to join our favorite team and look forward to his contributions to our growing organization. With his dual background and excellent working experience with leading coaches and sales firms around the world, he brings valuable knowledge that will help serve our clients’ needs in the future.”
