What is the biggest change in marketing that you see coming in the next couple of years?

I can see some big things that are likely to change very soon. One of the biggest things that I think is going to happen is really less of that and becoming more focused as marketers. For years now, digital marketing has taken a saturation approach. We must have all platforms. Every part of the marketing is powered by a well-equipped algorithmic machine where we spend millions to make sure our customers are covered everywhere. What I see coming and what I think is needed, is the realization that less can be more. Sure, we have the ability to make sure Joe Consumer sees our ad every time he opens his phone, but is that really what’s best for our customers? The truth is that not every client needs everything and many things we have relied on to deliver results have changed. Facebook is not for every business. SEM does not have the return on investment it had ten years ago. Consumers don’t want to be upset. They want to get involved. To do that today, I think we will have to do less and do better.

What makes your company unique?

We are unique in a few ways. First, we are a women-owned business, and we advocate for local organizations that support and empower women. One of our favorite places is a local domestic violence shelter. We have partnered with them to provide support and work as a team to develop and promote responsible domestic violence policies in other businesses.

As much as we stand out in our approach, I would say how much we engage with each client. I personally participate from start to finish and we start with getting a comprehensive view of the client’s needs and where they want to go. Many companies look at the things they specialize in like social media or search engine marketing. We believe everything is connected. We want users to have an extension. A wonderful experience from start to finish. Therefore, we look at every aspect of the business from the user’s point of view first and then make a plan for our clients. As a result, our clients not only find their entire marketing game up, but our team has learned to get smart.
