Bossy. is a Melbourne-based copywriting studio that specialises in tone of voice development, website copy, digital content, social copy and anything else with words in it. When we’re not writing copy, we can be found chatting over at The Bossy. Type podcast, and teaching our course, Bossy. Copy College.

We’re also home to the Bossy. Supergroup, which is really just a fun way of saying that we’re a team of freelance strategists, writers and editors — each with an individual writing style, a certain copywriting skill or specialty, or loads of experience within a particular industry.

What we need:

We’re looking for a marketing assistant who can help Bossy. claw its way to the next level through course enrollments, email list building, podcast outreach and other clever strategies.

Heads up!! This role is currently 5-10 hours per week (negotiable + flexible for the right person), and would suit a marketing freelancer or contractor. You’re welcome to work remotely, or from our shiny new office in Cremorne. Melbourne-based candidates are preferred, but not essential!

This smarty pants will:

  • Have a marketing / communications degree, diploma or similar
  • Come armed with 3+ years experience as a marketer, preferably in a creative studio, service-based business, or freelance environment
  • Bring a wealth of knowledge, and proven results, around email marketing / list building, podcast outreach, social media, business development and other areas of marketing
  • Be an out-of-the-box thinker, and able to implement creative strategies that suit the Bossy. brand, while meeting KPIs
  • Score bonus points if you’re comfortable with Facebook ad strategy and management
  • Be comfortable adapting to Bossy.’s confident and cheeky tone of voice when communicating via email / DM (We’d recommend you read our website + social captions to get a feel.)
  • Thrive working on their own and in a team
  • Have an energetic attitude and a proactive nature — you’re driven by results and take charge of your role
  • Possess all the usual must-haves, in particular: spectacular time management, attention to detail, written + verbal communication and (obvious, but here we go) spelling and grammar skills

What you’ll do:

The short answer: You’ll be a creative marketing assistant or specialist that will help Bossy. level up and reach our batshit crazy goals. The long answer:

  • Produce a marketing plan suited to Bossy. + manage / execute this ongoing
  • Email: Develop and implement tactics to grow Bossy.’s email list, and assist with content ideas
  • Podcast: Create outreach templates, research shows and arrange interviews and collaborations
  • Course: Create strategies to promote the course to a wider audience, and secure more enrollments each month
  • Social media: Assist with social media outreach
  • Facebook ads: Ideally, you will have some knowledge of Facebook ads, including strategy, set up and management
  • Track and report on results, with a special focus on solutions
  • Research and secure opportunities for our Director + Head Writer, Alyce, and the Bossy. team
  • Brainstorm and implement other creative marketing tactics and ideas
  • Assist and work closely with Alyce on all things marketing and growth <3
