Former CEO of Red Bull Daniel Sanders He announced his departure from the company to become Tencent games’ Chief Global Marketing Officer.
According to Sanders’ LinkedIn post, he will oversee Tencent’s esports marketing to help “take the landscape to new heights.”

Sanders began his esports career at Dignitas in 2007, and has since held executive positions at FACEIT, DLC Studios, and most recently at Red Bull. Sanders has been the head of esports and game marketing at Red Bull for the past five years.
As CEO of Red Bull, Sanders conceptualized and developed the Red Bull Gaming Sphere and led the Red Bull Gaming and Esports working group.

At Tencent, Sanders will continue to work to bring Tencent esports titles to more consumers. Tencent is perhaps best known as the largest owner of Riot Games. Furthermore, the company is also the publisher of the battle royale games PUBG MOBILE and PUBG: Battlegrounds. Tencent’s other esports titles include Honor of Kings, Arena of Valor, and CrossFire.
Esports Insider says: Daniel Sanders is a valuable addition to the Tencent team. The gaming company is one of the largest companies in its field in the world. Buoyed by the recent growth of Riot Games, as well as the astonishing rise in mobile esports in Asia, Sanders joins Tencent at a booming time.
